Overall: this drinks like a bad non alcoholic beer and for me has altered the benchmark on what i will judge bad beer on, worst beer i’ve ever had, if you like this beer, all power to you, but i implore you to try, like, anything else that is beer, probably better.Corona Light Mexican Lager Beer makes every day the lightest day with its uniquely refreshing flavor at 99 calories* per serving. Taste: man that is poor, i really forgot what it was like to have properly bad beer, it is nasty there’s no avoiding it, not even snobbishness at this point, skunky, sweet as hell, like a malt soda, grainy, metallic, a hint of lime, no lingering flavours at all except some residual sweetness, poor.įeel: light bodied, medium carbonation, super watery, all the depth of flavour of a can of diet coke, thin nothingness. Smell: bad, skunked to bits, smell the skunk a decent distance from the glass to its pungent, very metallic, grainy, sweet, syrupy sweet, lime, some biscuity malt, icky. Look: retained a one finger white head for longer than anticipated but quickly enough dissipated to a thin layer of bubbles, beer is a brownish gold colour with rushing manic carbonation in beer, clear of course. To wrap this up, the appearance within a lime wedged bottle-which itself I find slightly less attractive than Extra-is otherwise lightly chill-hazed piss yellow with, after a tilt, a relatively active but rapidly receding carbonation.ĭon't worry, I removed the lime wedge and serviced the tip liberally prior to this exhaustive review.Ĥ00th review/rating, friends advised me to have a terrible beer for kicks, here we are. Even the lightly fluffy medium body isn't impacted too terribly by the "lightening." Bottle to bottle, I'd probably take this over Extra. I typically find the lighter versions of macro lagers to be the lesser of its representations, but since I have only ever had "regular" Corona Extra up until now, I'm finding myself flummoxed that I'm not entirely sure that Light is the worse of the two. However, it was also surprisingly toasty. The overall experience is, as expected, light, ricey skunk. Thus was my ultimate bucket list whale slayed.

So it was to my utter surprise that our local dirt cheap Mexican restaurant not only listed it on their menu, but actually delivered it to the table as ordered. To be perfectly honest, I was damn near certain this was a hoax that didn't actually exist.

Although, to be fair, I've only looked once or twice-but god damn, this was at huge box stores with massive macro selections. I've never even seen it at grocery stores. It's the first time I've ever gotten a Corona Light when I asked for it. I've been waiting my whole life for this.
